As you can tell, I LOVE Food 52, I’m not kidding.  I’ve even sent them fan letters!  So when I saw this recipe I stopped dead in my tracks!  It looked so interesting and delicious that I HAD to know what it tasted like, and what magic I needed in order to make something that looked like that.

It’s actually a pretty simple process.  Make a dough, cut the dough into four even pieces and layer with the cheese herb spread, and cut and shape according to the directions and you too can amaze your friends with your culinary acuity!

The author was inspired to make this savory bread by a traditional holiday bread that is a sweet bread layered with cinnamon and sugar, I’ll be making that too for a brunch or breakfast one day.  My only comment on this recipe is that it’s best eaten warm, so if you make it ahead, heat it before serving it.
