I love cookies, they are the perfect dessert. Sweet, buttery, crunchy, chewy, crispy edges, soft centers, gooey, warm, or with a hard snap when cooled. But the queen of all cookies is shortbread.

I love it’s simplicity. Butter, sugar, flour and flavorings are all you need to make an outstanding cookie, not as sweet as a traditional cookie, but not as savory as a cracker. I’ve been obsessed with them since I was a kid!

Why Focus On Shortbread Cookie Recipes?

Over the past year I’ve indulged myself in exploring all things shortbread and have created this ebook (will try and figure out how to do print copy at some point). This is a self published venture and sells on Amazon for $4.99.

Just in time for the holiday season (although I think shortbread is good all seasons) there are recipes for the purest version, Irish Butter Shortbread and the irreverent, Sesame Miso Shortbread, or Bacon Date Shortbread. In the fall I love to make Pecan Shortbread with Pumpkin Frosting.
