Tumeric Tonic Recipe
4 C coconut water
1 carrot, scrubbed, sliced
1 T MCT oil (or olive oil, or almond oil, or melted coconut oil)
1-one inch piece of turmeric, peeled (or 1 t ground turmeric)
1-1/2 inch piece of ginger root, peeled (or 1/2 t ground ginger)
1/8 t freshly ground pepper
juice of half a lemon
1 T maple syrup
Combine all ingredients in a high powered blender and blend on high for 60 seconds.
Pour over a tall glass with ice and serve. In the picture I made a turmeric cocktail by adding 1 oz. gin and a twist of lemon per 6 oz. tonic.
